Founded in 1974, Withrow Sharpening and Sales began when founder Charles Withrow (who was 17 at the time) would go to construction job sites picking up saw-blades to sharpen. He eventually began adding various odds and ends and even equipment. By 1982, he bought the present location of Withrow Supply on Southview Lane so that he could have a showroom for his customers.

In 2024 (the 50th year of Withrow's), when founder Charles Withrow was planning on retiring, Alexis Campbell together with his father, Clayton Campbell, purchased Withrow Sharpening and Sales so the business could continue on in the future. Alexis currently runs the business together with sales manager Zach Booth and lacquer specialist Aaron Adkins. The Withrows team today is dedicated to preserving that legacy of stellar customer service and know-how and keeping the business going another 50 years.
